In 2026, we bid farewell to the last of our named partners, Sandy Stedman. Since becoming a partner in 1996, Sandy has distinguished himself through exceptional client service and dedicated mentorship. A teacher at heart, he authored and instructed tax courses for the CPABC professional development program for over 20 years and was recognized as a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC in 2018.
Beginning in January, Sandy will be spending more time with his family—including a new grandchild—and enjoying the outdoors through hiking and cycling. While easing into retirement, he continues to serve the profession as Vice Chair of the Board for the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC.

A big congratulations to team members Lucas Darke and Holly Faulkner who were successful on the September 2025 Common Final Exam (CFE). Lucas was named to the National Honor Roll which consists of the top approximately 1% of writers.
Holly completed two co-op terms before joining the firm full time in 2022. Lucas also joined the firm full time in 2022. Both completed articling together at SSK prior to writing the CFE.
We look forward to seeing their careers progress with SSK.

We’re thrilled to announce that Ashley Brooks has been promoted to Partner! Ashley joined us in 2014. She graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Arts in 2005, and a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction in 2009. After receiving her designation in 2011, Ashley worked with the Audit and Assurance Group at Ernst & Young in Saskatoon before moving to Victoria and SSK. Congratulations Ashley!
