Bare Trust Exemption from Filing Requirements for 2023

On March 29, 2024, the last working day before the April 2, 2024 fling deadline for trusts, the CRA announced that bare trusts would be exempted from the filing requirements for 2023.  We will be watching for a change in legislation to enact this exemption and for the requirements for the 2024 tax year.  Stay tuned….
