Sandy is a dedicated scholar and teacher in all aspects of taxation. His practice includes accounting and tax advice for professionals, owner-managed business, high net worth individuals and groups of privately held companies.
Sandy graduated with a BCom from UBC in 1984, attained his designation in 1987 and was elected a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC in 2018.
Sandy joined Schibli Stedman King in 1996 after spending several years as an internal auditor for a large public company and a controller for a group of privately held companies. He has been a member of the Communications and the Practice Review and Licensing committees at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC and has been a member of the Tax Professional Development Group at the institute, now CPABC, since 2001.
Since 2002 Sandy has been an author and instructor of taxation courses for the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC. He has also been an instructor for taxation courses for the CPA professional development programs in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
In September 2020 Sandy was elected to the Board of Directors for the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC.
Sandy is married and has three grown children. When enjoying some downtime, Sandy spends time exploring the outdoors and traveling.
