Originally from Mozambique, Ivone joined SSK in 2024 as part of the Admin Team and the new face you might see when you first walk-in to our office. Having experience in Reception and Admin, this job opportunity is the right fit for this entrepreneur to gain growth and professionalism. With background courses from Camosun College for Computer System and Information, SSK is the perfect place for Ivone to exercises her skills and learn. Outside of work Ivone loves working on side projects and spending time with family. Enjoys finding new recipes to try and a good puzzle of sudoku to complete.
Jessie Lindahl
Staff Accountant
Jessie is responsible for preparing compilation engagements along with corporate, personal and trust tax returns. She joined the SSK team full-time in January 2024 after completing a co-op with SSK in January 2022. Jessie is currently completing her Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting at Camosun College.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, watersports and being outdoors.
Jordyn Kitt
Co-Op Student
Originally from Edmonton, AB, Jordyn moved to Victoria to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is currently a student at the University of Victoria. She joined SSK for a four-month work co-op in January 2024. Jordyn is a staff accountant – co-op student and is responsible for preparation of compilation engagements, corporate tax returns, and bookkeeping services. During her co-op term Jordyn looks forward to gaining practical accounting experience accounting and building meaningful connections within the industry.
When Jordyn is not working, she enjoys hiking, travelling, and going to the gym.
Nicholas Hofmeyr
Staff Accountant
Nicholas prepares compilation and review engagements, corporate taxes, and bookkeeping. He enjoys working with different types of clients and seeing how businesses across sectors are operated. Nicholas grew up in Oak Bay and spent most of his 20’s travelling and doing a variety of jobs in the trades. In 2014 he completed his Red Seal in Carpentry but still wanted to further his education which led him to do a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in Accounting. After spending a couple of years in accounting roles at other organizations, he joined Schibli Stedman King in 2023 and is one of the firm’s articling students pursing their CPA designation.
Outside of work, Nicholas spends his spare time with his young family, surfing, and putting his carpentry skills to use on the family home.
Thomas Jenkins
Co-Op Student
Originally from White Rock, Thomas moved to the island to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is currently a student at the University of Victoria. He joined SSK for a four-month work co-op in January 2024. Thomas is a staff accountant – co-op student responsible for preparation of compilation engagements, corporate tax returns, and bookkeeping services. During his co-op term Thomas looks forward to extending his accounting knowledge and building meaningful connections within the industry.
When Thomas is not in the office, he enjoys playing hockey for UVic’s team, golfing at local courses around Victoria, and skiing on the mountains near Vancouver.
Tristin Blacker
Co-Op Student
Tristin is currently a third-year student at Camosun College in the BBA – Accounting program. He grew up in Sidney and joined the team at SSK in January 2024 as a co-op student. His responsibilities include preparation of compilation engagements, corporate tax returns, and bookkeeping services. Through his work term, Tristin seeks to gain real world experience which will aid him with his studies.
When Tristin is not working, he enjoys exploring the outdoors, fly fishing, and training brazilian jiu jitsu.
Jessie Fowler
Administration
Jessie started as our Office Manager and Administrator in August of 2023, while being new to the accounting industry, her background in hospitality and retail management brings a new perspective to the role. Her focus is on building a strong and supportive administration team that enhances the experience of clients and colleagues alike.
Growing up on the Gulf Islands has given Jessie a love for the west coast and making Victoria the perfect place to call home.
In her spare time, Jessie enjoys attending live music shows, traveling, and spending time close to the ocean. While at home, she can be found relaxing with a cup of tea, a good book, and a cat curled up on her lap.
Firat Ataman
Staff Accountant
As a staff accountant, Firat prepares compilation engagements, as well as corporate, and personal tax returns, for various clients in different industries.
After 12 years in the Royal Canadian Navy, Firat decided to pursue accounting as a new career. Firat completed his Bachelor of Arts with a major in economics at the University of Victoria and complemented his education with an accounting focused Post Degree Diploma at Camosun College. Firat will be writing the CFE exam in September 2025 and hopes to earn his designation in early 2025.
Firat is an avid traveler with adventures through 37 countries. Firat also holds a Private Pilot License, a Sea Kayaking Instructor License, and a SCUBA Diving Instructor Certificate.
Riley Botting
Staff Accountant
Riley is a staff accountant and is responsible for preparation of compilation engagements, corporate tax returns, and bookkeeping services. He recently completed the Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in Accounting at Camosun College.
When not working, Riley can be found spinning his favourite albums on his vintage turntable while tending to his thriving garden.

Originally from Sidney, Gosha moved to Victoria after starting his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Victoria. He joined SSK for a four-month co-op in January 2024. Gosha looks forward to expand his understanding of accounting and to gain hands-on experience in an accounting environment.

Honor Lichtenwald
Staff Accountant
Honor began working for SSK as a Co-op student in May 2022. After earning a BBA from Camosun College with a focus in accounting, Honor started a full-time position in May 2023. She is eager to begin the CPA program in September 2023. Honor is responsible for assisting in the preparation of corporate year-end financial statements and tax returns.
In her spare time, Honor most enjoys spending time with her dog Lola, and her family. She also loves spending time outdoors, cooking, and staying as active as she can.
Maz Hassel
Co-Op Student
Max joined the Schibli Stedman King team in May 2023 as a Staff Accountant – co-op student, in which he hopes to become efficient in corporate tax returns and the preparation of financial statements and compilation engagements. As Max works through his co-op he aims to gain knowledge that will aid him in reaching his goal of completing his CPA designation.
Max grew up in Calgary, Alberta and came to Victoria to attend the University of Victoria’s Peter B. Gustavson School of Business for a Bachelor of Commerce. Max used to play rugby for the University of Victoria Vikes Men’s rugby team before injuries sidelined him. Now, in his free time he enjoys powerlifting and aims to compete. Outside of work and the gym, Max enjoys playing spikeball and watching hockey. Go Flames Go!

Originally from the Comox Valley, Sam moved to Victoria to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is currently a fourth-year student at the University of Victoria. He joined SSK for a four-month work co-op in May 2023. During his co-op, term Sam looks forward to extending his knowledge base in accounting and building meaningful connections within the industry.
When Sam is not working, he enjoys playing soccer, surfing, fishing on the mainland, and skiing during the winter months.
Yiming Sheng
Staff Accountant
Yiming graduated from Ocean University of China with a bachelor’s degree in finance and is currently studying accounting at Camosun College. She joined SSK in May 2023 as a co-op student. During her co-op, she is responsible for preparation of compilation engagement, preparation of corporate tax returns, and bookkeeping. After she graduates from Camosun, she plans to enroll in the CPA program.
In her spare time, Yiming loves reading, running and dancing.
Justine Pelly
CPA | Manager
Justine joined Schibli Stedman King in 2015. Her focus is on building client relationships while assisting partners and managers in the preparation of compilation engagements, review engagements, personal taxes, and tax planning. Justine graduated from with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Camosun College before continuing to pass the CFE in 2018 and received her designation in 2019.
When not at work, Justine enjoys spending time with her husband and their young son and daughter. She also appreciates eating at all the fabulous local restaurants, taking in the natural beauty of the island either by hiking or off-roading, and if time allows getting in a game of golf.
Kym Savory
Administration
Kym Savory is a member of the administration team here at Schibli Stedman King. Working in both our Downtown and Westshore locations, Kym is always happy to help clients and staff with their administrative needs. She joined the SSK team in September 2022, and enjoys the welcoming environment the firm has to offer.
In her free time outside of the office you can find Kym riding her horse, hanging out with her cats, and trying out new baking recipes.
Clayton Cosburn
Staff Accountant
Clayton joined the Schibi Stedman King team in January 2023 as a co-op student, in which he is gaining experience in both corporate and personal tax returns. Through his work experience as a staff accountant, he will gain knowledge that will aid with his studies. He is currently attending Camsoun College and will be back at SSK in May 2024.
Clayton is working towards completing his degree in Business Administration with an Accounting specialization. After he graduates from university, he will start the CPA program. When Clayton is not studying or working, you can find him backpacking the trails of Vancouver Island or competing in sailing regattas.
Karyln Underdahl
Staff Accountant
Karlyn joined SSK in January 2023 as a co-op student. She works as a staff accountant and is responsible for preparation of compilation engagements, corporate tax returns, and bookkeeping. During her co-op term she hopes to gain practical experience and learn all she can about personal and corporate tax.
Karlyn graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Arts in 2011. She worked in hospitality and organic farming before enrolling in the accounting program at Camosun College in 2020, and plans to enroll in the CPA program in September 2023. When not working or studying Karlyn enjoys hiking, yoga, and spending time with her family.
Holly Faulkner
Staff Accountant
Holly is responsible for preparing compilation engagements in addition to corporate and personal tax returns. She graduated from Camosun College in the Fall of 2022 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Holly joined SSK full-time in 2023 after completing co-op terms with the firm in 2021 and 2022.
During her free time, Holly can be found hiking one of the local trails or trying not to fall off her horse.
Sue Down
Administration
Sue Down, part of our tightknit hard-working admin. team, has been with Schibli Stedman King since March 2008.
She was hired when the company made the commitment to go paperless and tasked with digitally archiving the year-end work done for clients and all incoming and outgoing correspondence. Over the years Sue has seen a marked reduction in the amount of paper leaving the office, and is pleased that even institutions like the Canada Revenue Agency are now encouraging clients to go paperless.
When not at her desk, you’re likely to find Sue looking at the wider world – a little bit at a time – through the lens of her camera. Or near the water with a book.
Kirsten Lombard
Co-Op Student
Kirsten is currently a third-year student completing a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Victoria. She is originally from Vancouver and joined the team at SSK in May 2023 as a co-op student. Her responsibilities include preparation of compilation engagements, preparation of corporate tax returns, and bookkeeping. During her co-op term, Kirsten hopes to achieve a greater understanding of accounting concepts and gain valuable accounting experience. She is currently studying at UVic and will be back at SSK in May 2024.
In her spare time, Kirsten enjoys reading, swimming, and cycling.
SANDY STEDMAN

Sandy has been a partner at SSK since 1996. His practice has focused on privately owned businesses and high net-worth individuals.
Sandy graduated from UBC in 1984, attained his designation in 1987 and was elected a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC in 2018. He has been a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation since 1999 and has been an author and instructor for tax courses in the CPABC professional development program since 2002. In 2020 Sandy was elected to the Board of Directors for the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC. Away from his desk, he enjoys hiking and low-key cycling (“I just ride around on my bike”), and is slowly getting back into travel.
Sandy has been a Director on the Board for the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC since 2020, he was the Treasurer for the 2023/2024 year and is the Second Vice Chair for the 2024/2025 year. Away from his desk, he enjoys hiking and low-key cycling (“I just ride around on my bike”) and a variety of travel.

CHAD LINGER

Chad has been a partner with the firm since 2011. His primary focus is on accounting and tax services for owner-managed businesses and their shareholders, with a strong emphasis on client service. Chad has an entrepreneurial background from being involved in a locally owned and operated family business. Chad joined Schibli Stedman King in 2007 after obtaining his professional designation in 2007 while articling with KPMG in Victoria and Vancouver. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Victoria in 2004, and a Masters in Professional Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan in 2006. Chad has completed Parts I, II and III of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada’s In-Depth Tax Course.
Chad is married and has two children. He spends his time away from the office coaching his kids’ hockey teams. In the summer you will find him on Shawnigan Lake with his family.

Jeremy has over 15 years’ experience providing accounting, assurance, tax, and business advisory services for privately-owned entities, individuals, estates, and trusts. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UBC, is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and has completed the CPA In-Depth Tax Course.
Outside of the office, Jeremy enjoys time with his family, playing golf and landscape photography. He also volunteers his time as the treasurer for the Urban Development Institute (Capital Region).
ASHLEY BROOKS

Ashley joined Schibli Stedman King in 2014 and became Partner in 2023. Her focus is on accounting and tax including assurance engagements, tax planning and reorganizations for owner managed businesses, corporate groups and individuals. Ashley graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Arts in 2005, and a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction in 2009. After receiving her designation in 2011, Ashley worked with the Audit and Assurance Group at Ernst & Young in Saskatoon before moving to Victoria and SSK. She enjoys training and teaching and is actively involved in the firm’s CFE training program. She has facilitated for the University of Saskatchewan, and co-authored courses for the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of BC.
When she is not working Ashley enjoys all things outdoors including hiking, cycling and time with family and friends. With a passion for travel, any time not spent outside is spent planning her next adventure.

Denton first joined Schibli Stedman King in 2012, and he was named Partner in 2023. He has deep expertise in delivering accounting and taxation advisory services to owner-operated businesses. Denton’s clients benefit from his detailed tax plans and the personal touch he brings to professional communication.
Prior to joining SSK, Denton earned a degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Camosun College. He secured his professional designation in 2015. In 2022, he completed CPA Canada’s rigorous In-Depth Tax Course.
Born in Alberta, Denton relocated to Victoria at a young age. Outside the office, he enjoys time with his young family; exploring Lower Island trails; and playing water polo. He also serves on the boards of several not-for-profits and holds the position of Treasurer for Saanich Neighbourhood Place.

Sean has been a partner at Schibli Stedman King for over 20 years and has over 30 years of public practice experience specializing in providing tax and accounting advice to private business and their owner/managers.
Sean was born in Vancouver and raised in Vernon by parents from Ireland and England. He graduated from the University of Victoria in 1994 with a double major in Economics and Political Science. Sean has two children one graduated and one just finishing grade 12. Sean and his wife enjoy traveling and restoring cars and split their time between James bay and Metchosin.
TRISTAN STORY

Tristan moved to Victoria and joined Schibli Stedman King in 2008. He specializes in tax issues for owner-managed companies including business transitions, tax planning, reorganizations, and estate planning. Tristan articled with a medium sized firm in Vancouver and was a tax manager at a national firm before joining SSK. He obtained his legacy Chartered Accounting designation in 2006, and completed all three levels of the In Depth Tax Course after obtaining his designation. He has taught accounting and tax courses at BCIT and Camosun, as well as being a facilitator and group study leader for the indepth tax course and co-authoring and presenting courses for the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia.
Tristan, his wife, and son enjoy travelling and the outdoors, and Tristan enjoys playing golf, cycling, running and completing the odd triathlon and marathon when he has time.
BRIAN KING
CPA, CA | Partner (retired)
Brian enjoyed every day of his 25 years as a partner working with business-owner clients and staff through to his retirement in 2023. Prior to this, Brian worked for professional accounting firms in Vancouver and in London England after graduating with honors from the University of Western Ontario.
After 2022, Brian will be frequenting local hockey rinks, nearby hills, and his favorite place at Sproat Lake.
CORY VAN OSTERHOUT

Cory’s focus is on assisting and advising owner-operated businesses on accounting, tax, and estate planning in many industries including construction, property development, property management and various professionals.
Cory joined Schibli Stedman King in 2004 after completing his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Victoria. He obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 2008.
Cory was born and raised in Victoria. Most of his spare time is spent with his wife and two children but he also enjoys snowboarding, golfing, and hiking.
JASON MARTINSON
CPA | Manager
In his role as Manager, Jason prepares corporate and personal tax returns, assists with tax planning, prepares audit and review engagements for private companies, and assists clients with various accounting services. Jason graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and a finance diploma from Camosun College in 2019. He completed two co-op work terms with SSK during his diploma studies, then started full time employment in 2019. He completed the CPA program in 2021 and made the national honour roll on the 2021 CFE.
On his own time, Jason enjoys music and plays guitar. He’s into sports like golf and baseball, and plays on a softball team in the summers.
GREG PIERCE
CPA, CGA | Supervising Accountant
Greg is a senior accountant with the firm and has been working closely with Chad Linger for many years. Along with his work preparing files, tax planning, and other projects, he works with the firm’s IT department and planning committee.
He studied under the Certified General Accountants (CGA) program prior to the amalgamation, obtaining his professional designation in 2012. Outside of the firm, he has had several volunteer positions, most recently finishing an extended term as treasurer with the local support association for the Air Cadets program.
He is a husband and father of two boys, and enjoys getting outdoors, playing boardgames with friends, watching a great movie, or curling up with a good book. On weekends, he can be found refereeing the occasional soccer match, or hiking with his dog.

LEAH STRACHAN

Leah joined Schibli Stedman King in 2001. Her focus is building working client relationships with a specialty in providing accounting and tax advice for owner-managed businesses, non-resident tax compliance and estate tax preparation. She obtained an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Laurentian University in 2008, and her accounting designation in 2009.
Leah was born and raised in Victoria. In her spare time, she enjoys dragon boating, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.
AMANDA CRAM
Administration
Amanda is part of the administration team for SSK. She previously worked as a bookkeeper and tax preparer. While remaining on top of her administrative tasks, Amanda is also pursuing her education through Athabasca University, with the goal of becoming a CPA.
Outside of work, she loves to spend her time with her 2 dogs.
LUCAS DARKE
Staff Accountant
Lucas is responsible for completing Compilation Engagements and bookkeeping for clients. Additionally, he completes individual tax returns. Lucas graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Commerce. Before joining Schibli Stedman King in the Fall of 2022, Lucas worked as an accounting assistant. While in university, Lucas founded the Victoria Social Value Fund, which connects community investors with environmentally proactive companies.
Lucas was raised in Victoria, BC. Outside of the office he’s an avid sports fans, his favourite being basketball and soccer. He enjoys going on walks around Victoria and working out at the gym.
MAREIKA CARROLL
Senior Accountant
As a recent successful candidate of the CFE accountants exam, Mareika is one of our trusted staff accountants here at SSK. Her role in the company is to assist in the preparation of corporate year-end financial statements and tax returns, as well as personal tax return preparation in the early spring.
Prior to pursuing accounting, Mareika taught math at the secondary school level. This experience included a working term in England. As an accountant, Mareika would love to carry on the mentorship role she developed through teaching practices and continue to grow it within the accounting community.
In her spare time, Mareika enjoys trying new foods and cooking new recipes. She will often have friends over to test out her creations and play board games. Since completing the CPA program, she looks forward to replacing the time previously allotted as ‘study time’ to new hobbies and adventures.
RICHELLE STEWART
CPA | Senior Accountant
Richelle joined SSK in 2018. Her focus is preparing compilation and review engagements. Richelle also prepares corporate tax return, personal tax returns and assists with tax planning. Richelle was born and raised on Vancouver Island in Campbell River, moving to Victoria to attend university. Richelle graduated from the University of Victoria in 2018 with a Bachelor of Commerce. She passed the CFE in 2021 and received her CPA designation in 2022.
In her spare time Richelle enjoys baking treats to share and hiking with family and friends.
AUDREY WRIGHT
CPA| Senior Accountant
Audrey prepares review and compilation engagements, along with corporate and personal tax returns. She says the best part of her job is working closely with our local clients and helping them navigate routine or complex accounting issues. Audrey grew up in Calgary and came to Victoria in 2016 to attend the University of Victoria where she graduated from the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business in 2020. She joined SSK full-time in January 2021, after she had already completed a 4-month co-op while at UVic. She passed the CFE in 2023 and obtained her CPA designation in 2024.
In her free time she enjoys playing soccer, spikeball, and facetiming her dogs.
CONOR MCDIARMID

Conor prepares review and compilation engagements as well as corporate, personal and trust tax returns. He values working with different corporate groups and clients that operate in varying industries, both from an accounting and tax perspective. Conor grew up in Tofino before moving to Victoria as a teenager. He graduated from Camosun College in 2020 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in Accounting. He joined Schibli Stedman King full-time in 2021. He passed the CFE in 2023 and obtained his CPA designation in 2024.
Outside of work, Conor spends his spare time visiting family in Tofino, running, skateboarding, and playing soccer.

She is a graduate of the Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management program from Royal Roads University. Aislinn completed the National Payroll Institute Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification and later obtained her Chartered Professional Accountant designation.
Outside of work, Aislinn enjoys traveling, yoga, sunshine, and spending time with friends and family.
SHEANE STAFFORD
CPA | Manager
Sheane provides accounting and tax advisory services to mostly local clients, predominantly small to mid-sized private companies. She has experience preparing compilation and review engagements, as well as experience conducting legal and real estate trust audits. However, her focus now largely includes tax planning and other client services, as well as training new staff members.
Sheane has been with Schibli Stedman King since Fall 2015 after graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honours from the University of Victoria. She wrote the CFE examinations in 2019 and was promoted to manager in 2022. Sheane was born and raised in Victoria, although she also holds Irish citizenship. Growing up, she was a French Immersion student and a multi-discipline dancer. She even danced the role of Clara in the Nutcracker with the Royal Alberta Ballet.
Sheane loves dogs and has two French bulldogs of her own (Wilbur and Roux). You can often find them walking along Dallas Road. She has been a world traveler since infancy (notably with 30+ trips to NYC logged). She loves good food, good friends and good shoes.
SARA MOLLON
CPA | Senior Manager
Sara joined Schibli Stedman King in 2012. Her initial role was receptionist until she became an accounting technician in 2015 and began articling. In 2022, Sara moved into her current role as a manager where she focuses on building working relationships with clients, providing accounting and tax advice, and overseeing review engagements. She is also involved in the training and mentoring of junior staff.
Sara graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2012 from the University of Victoria and completed the Post Degree Diploma Business Administration – Accounting Option at Camosun College in 2016. In 2019 she successfully wrote the CFE and received her CPA designation in 2020.
Sara is married and enjoys spending time outdoors with her young family. She also enjoys traveling, dining and skiing in the winter.
ASHLEY JACKSON
Supervising Accountant
Ashley joined SSK as a staff accountant in 2020. She prepares compilation and review engagements, along with corporate and personal tax returns. Ashley was born in Victoria and graduated from the University of Victoria in 2019 with a Bachelor of Commerce. She passed the CFE in 2022 and obtained her CPA designation in 2023.
Outside of the office you can find Ashley playing soccer, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors with family and friends.
BRANDON NEVILLE
CPA | Manager
Brandon joined the firm in 2017. He has experience with year-end engagements, tax planning, personal taxes, and special tax projects, with a focus on owner managed corporations and groups. He works directly with clients and their support staff to provide accounting and tax advice on matters they deal with on a regular basis. Brandon graduated from the University of Victoria in 2016 with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce. He went on to complete the CPA program and received his CPA designation in early 2020.
Brandon grew up in the Peace River region and came to Victoria for post-secondary education. He enjoys travelling and exploring new experiences with his family and friends. Brandon is an avid reader when time allows and is always willing to play the newest board game.

KALEIGH PHILLIPS
CPA | Senior Manager
Kaleigh’s primary focus is tax planning and compilation engagements but also enjoys assisting clients in day-to-day business operations. She has worked with SSK since 2014; joining as an articling student and growing to her current role as a manager. In this role she has gained experience with a breadth of clients, from sole proprietors to large corporate groups, and always strives to find the solution that best suits their needs and goals. Kaleigh wrote and passed the CFE exam in 2016 after transitioning from an undergraduate in Biology from the University of Victoria.
In her free time, Kaleigh enjoys taking advantage of all the forests and beaches that island life has to offer and going on ever more thrilling adventures with her chihuahua, Skittles. Ever rounded in her extracurriculars, she is as comfortable with a book by the pool as she is driving up logging roads to find the perfect campsite.
MERRIN ANN REGI
Staff Accountant
As a full-time Staff accountant on Chad Linger’s team, Merrin Ann’s primary responsibilities involve creating compilation engagement reports for clients that include holding companies, trusts, and corporations.
Merrin Ann started working for SSK in the summer of 2022. She has a Bachelor of Commerce, and a Post Degree Diploma in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting, and she’s currently working toward the CPA Designation.
She adores spending time with her loved ones, taking long walks on the beach, having meaningful conversations, and going on little getaways to refresh her soul. She’s a movie buff who gets excited about the night sky, moon, stars, constellations, and every other mystery of life!
KRISTY MINEAULT
CPA | Senior Manager
Kristy Mineault joined the SSK team in 2018 and has been a Manager at the firm since 2020. Kristy provides comprehensive accounting and taxation services for owner managed businesses, individuals and corporate groups. She works attentively with clients, building positive working relationships to help them achieve their financial goals.
Kristy began articling in 2014 after graduating from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction in Psychology. She earned her CPA designation in 2017 and is currently working towards completing the CPA In-depth tax course.
Kristy was born and raised in Victoria. Growing up, Kristy’s parents operated their family-owned appliance business, which sparked Kristy’s desire to help small businesses. Outside of work, Kristy enjoys taking strength and spin classes, travelling, and spending time with her husband and their Bernese Mountain Dog, Moka.
YI-LING LIN
Staff Accountant
Yi-Ling joined SSK in January 2022, working on Jeremy and Cory’s team. Her primary responsibility is to prepare tax returns for companies and individuals. She has a Post Degree Diploma in Accounting from Camosun and is working towards her CPA qualification.
Back in Taiwan, she earned an MBA degree in accounting and had several years of audit work experience. She loves hanging out with friends and exploring new restaurants or the great outdoors in her free time.
ADEL ADIL
Technical Support Analyst
Adel has been in IT Support for over 5 years. He graduated from the University of Victoria in 2017 with a degree in Computer Science. He loves solving computer problems and helping others, and that led him to his role at SSK.
Outside the office, you can find Adel volunteering for causes he cares about. Watching a sport game at the pub, at the gym, or sitting on his couch reading a book while petting his cat.
MELISSA LOUIE
CPA | Senior Manager
A Manager since 2020, Melissa’s focus is on accounting and tax including assurance engagements and tax planning for owner-managed businesses and corporate groups.
Melissa joined the firm in 2014, graduating from Camosun College with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting degree that year. She articled with the firm and obtained her Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2017. Her accounting career started in 2004 and grew through Controllership roles in a variety of industries – automotive, insurance, music, real estate, and investments. Her broad experience gives her unique insight into the interests, issues, and challenges of owner-managed businesses.
Outside of work, Melissa keeps busy with her husband, raising their two young boys, and running a construction business. She volunteers her time as a Treasurer on the Executive Committee of the Maria Montessori Academy Parent Group. In her spare time, she loves traveling, cooking, attending live music events, staying active and spending time with family and friends.
