Cory van Osterhout CPA, CA

Cory joined Schibli Stedman King in 2004 after completing his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Victoria. He obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 2008 and became a Manager in 2009. Cory's focus is on assisting and advising owner operated businesses on accounting, tax, and estate planning in many industries including construction, property development, property management and various professionals. Cory was born and raised in Victoria and has strong ties to the community. Most of his spare time is spent with his wife and two daughters but he also enjoys snowboarding, golfing, and camping.

Leah Strachan, CPA, CGA

Leah joined Schibli Stedman King in 2001. In 2008 she obtained an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Laurentian University and her accounting designation in 2009. Leah’s focus is building working relationships with clients and providing assistance and advice relating to accounting and tax. She is also involved in the training and mentoring of staff. Leah was born and raised in Victoria. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Jeremy Cook, CPA, CA

Jeremy grew up on Quadra Island, graduated with honors from the Sauder School of Business at UBC and joined Schibli Stedman King in 2007. He obtained his professional designation in 2013 and became a manager in 2014. He is currently going through CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Course. Jeremy has a focus on accounting and tax services for owner-managed businesses and their shareholders, including reorganizations and tax planning. Jeremy spends his free time with his wife and two daughters, but when they aren’t looking you might find him at the golf course.

Ashley Brooks, CPA, CA

Ashley Brooks, CPA, CA

Ashley joined Schibli Stedman King in 2014. Her focus is on accounting and tax including assurance engagements, tax planning and reorganizations for owner managed businesses and corporate groups. Ashley graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2005 and a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction in 2009 from the University of Saskatchewan. She articled with a mid-sized firm in Saskatoon and received her designation in 2011. After receiving her designation, Ashley worked with the Audit and Assurance Group at Ernst & Young in Saskatoon. Ashley enjoys training and teaching. To this end she has facilitated for the University of Saskatchewan, co-authored courses for the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of BC, and marked exams for both the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. In her spare time Ashley enjoys all things outdoors including running, hiking, cycling and ultimate frisbee. With a passion for travel, any time not spent outside is spent planning her next adventure.
